National Road Wine Collection
This series of wines from the Christian W. Klay Winery in
Chalk Hill, Pennsylvania is named for historic sites along
America's first turnpike. Originally, the road was little more
than an Indian trail through the wilderness. By 1802, however,
the need for a safe passage to the west compelled Congress to
fund the building of the National Road. It began in
Cumberland, Maryland and ultimately reached Vandalia,
Illinois.
Nemacolin Castle This wine is semi-dry and brilliant in clarity with a
hint of violets in its aroma. It compliments both fish and
chicken, strawberries and cheese.
Washington Tavern White (Silver Medal Winner at the 30th annual American Wine
Society Competition)

In the tradition of its namesake, this wine offers warm
hospitality, a friendly taste of tropical fruit and a
brilliant clarity. A semi-dry wine, it is a delightful
companion to dishes of chicken, fish, cheese and fresh
fruit.

Blanc de Lafayette
Light-bodied and dry, this wine leaves a pleasant hint of
grapefruit. This is a genial wine served with chicken, cheeses
and with such delicate fruit as strawberries.
Searight's Tollhouse
Try this wicker-basket picnic wine. It is semi-sweet and is
perfect with sandwiches, cheese and apples served on a
checkered cloth in a summer field. Or bring it inside to drink
with fish and chicken.
Chestnut Ridge Sunset This delicate, semi-sweet crimson blush with a hint of cherry
aroma compliments a wide variety of fare.
Jumonville Glen Road
This medium bodied dry red, soft and round in texture with a
black cherry aroma, goes well with lamb, game and
beef.
Washington Tavern Red
This fruity light bodied semi-dry red goes especially well
with pasta dishes.
